Spotted - 57 Chevy Bel Air - ride!
This stunning 57 Chevy was spotted at Worthing American, Rod & Custom.
Kevin has owned this Chevy for 7 years now. Originally the car was white but after two years of ownership, Kevin decided to carry out a full body off restoration of the Chevy.
As part of the rebuild Kevin decided to change the colour to Cobalt Blue. He also invested in air ride from Air Ride Technologies, allowing him to get the exact look he wanted both on the move and when parked up (2 inches lower all round).
Kevin has also upgraded to front disc brakes and rack & pinion steering as part of the rebuild, bringing the whole handling and braking of the Chevy up to modern day levels. Classic vehicles that retain essentially the original look but with modern day engineering and subtle cosmetic improvements are often referred to as a restomods.
The engine is a 350 block, but has a Stroker kit fitted taking it from 350 to 383 and now pushes out 425HP, a TH350 transmission finishes off the mechanical side.
To complete the look Kevin had some Billet Custom Wheels fitted and also opted for digital gauges and a full tilt steering column with custom steering wheel.
Despite an immaculate interior Kevin is planning to change the current seat finish to full grey leather with blue piping. With the exception of the paintwork Kevin has completed all the work himself and it must be said to a very high standard.
Prior to the Chevy Kevin owned a Camaro as this had always been his dream car. But this has now been superseded by a certain Cobalt Blue 57 Chevy – and I can see why!

It's always been iconic! This car is every drivers dream to have on their garage. The bel-air just describes how Chevy makes it's car during the 60's to 70's. The Headlight Assembly is very simple yet it represents the car entirely besides its powerful engine.
