LED Replacement Bulbs

360 degree LED bulbI have just ordered some LED bulbs to replace the rear stop/tail and indicator standard bulbs. They say they're brighter, will last the life of the car (33 years so far!) plus they only use 1 watt of power.
The main reason for choosing LEDs is that I have used what were the reversing lights on the Torino as indicators, and I have always been slightly concerned that they were difficult to see on a bright day.

I'll let you all know how good they are once fitted - has anyone else had experience using LEDs in place of standard bulbs?
